[CASonline] Cittamani Tara !!

Dear Friends @ CASonline,

The beings @ CAS of Thousand-Arm Chenrezig are elated to announce a "semi-private" Cittamani Tara programme with the great Abbot of Drepung Loseling Monastery, Khen Rinpoche, Lobsang Gyamtso, from 7 to 10 February 2007.

About Drepung Loseling Khen Rinpoche Lobsang Gyamtso

The great Je Tzongkhapa, Founder of the holy Gelugpa Tradition prophesied thus to Jamyang Choje:
"Your founding and construction of Drepung Monastery shall surpass the Mother Monastery ( of Ganden )
and all its myriad branch monasteries in its spiritual glory and depth."

Drepung Monastery, remains to this day, one of the most influential and prestigious monastic colleges of Tibet.

Some of the prominent recent Masters from Drepung Monastery include the late Ling Rinpoche ( Senior Tutor of HH the Dalai Lama ), the 100th Ganden Trisur Rinpoche (Supreme Head Emeritus of the Gelugpa Tradition), Denma Locho Rinpoche, the two next-in-lines to the position of the Head of the Gelugpa Tradition: the Lords of Dharma of the Eastern and Northern Halls, Kirti Tzenshab Rinpoche.

The position of the Grand Abbot of Drepung Monastery was held by several of the previous Dalai Lamas, some of whom are their tutors.
The Dalai Lamas are so intimately associated with Drepung Monastery that they are known as the "Drepung Tulkus" or "Reincarnated Masters of Drepung" !!

Loseling Khen Rinpoche, as the Grand Abbot of this prestigious institution, is a complete lineage-holder and fully-qualified master of the holy Gelugpa Tradition.

About Cittamani Tara

Holy Mother Tara is the embodiment of all the Buddhas' Enlightened Activities. The practice of Tara is extremely powerful and effective for removing obstacles and achieving goals on the Path to Enlightenment.

Tara appears in female form, with 21 aspects, embodying the infinite enlighten activities of peace, increase, power and wrath.

In this Degenerate Age, we need to constantly deal with obstacles, both on the mundane and spiritual levels. This practice of Holy Tara, the Swift Liberator, is especially valuable for its potency in overcoming conventional difficulties and in creating the positive conditions needed for high spiritual attainments.

A most precious and unique Tara Cycle

The practice of this Cycle of the Cittamani Tara is unique in it being one of the rarest cycles of Tara practices belonging to the Highest Yoga Tantra classes.

It remains THE most extensive, elaborate, secret and powerful cycles of Tara practices including

- an uncommon Green Tara integrated with Guru Yoga practice simultaneous with daily self-initiation

- the complete set of practices related to the Six Yogas of Naropa including the "Inner- Fire", "Dream Yoga" and all

a full and complete Fire Puja practice

- Retreat Practice and Instructions

- Full Self-Initiation Manuals and

- One of the most subtle Body-Mandala practices

The lineage of this Tara Cycle is short and is revealed by Takpo Dorje Chang, an Enlightened Master, just 4 generations counting up from HH the Dalai Lama and Loseling Khen Rinpoche.

HH the Dalai Lama, will in fact, be bestowing this extremely rare and precious Tara Cycle in Wisconsin, USA on 4 May 2007.

All serious students of the Dharma should rightly consider themselves extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to receive such a precious Teaching from such an outstanding, senior Master.

Commitments

The Cittamani Tara Initiation is traditionally bestowed only upon students who have already received a MAJOR HIGHEST YOGA TANTRA INITIATION such as the Yamantaka, the Hevajra, the Guhyasamaja and the like.

Loseling Khen Rinpoche, for this occasion, has, however, given special permission to students who have not received a major highest yoga tantra initiation to attend the full initiation of Cittamani Tara. However, these students will need at least to have taken the Buddhist Refuge.

Subsequent to the Cittamani Tara initiation, all students will need to recite the daily practice of Uncommon Cittamani Tara Guru Yoga once. This practice of about one A4-size page takes about 5 to 10 minutes.

This Uncommon Guru Yoga is extremely precious as it includes a most succinct daily self-initiation which then completely purifies all our transgressions and renews all our vows.

The serious practitioner will, subsequent to the initiation, be fully empowered to engage in the extensive sadhana and all other practices of Cittamani Tara.

Any sangha member attending the programme is waived from the "suggested offering" (of course !! ).

Any Dharma friends facing financial difficulty will not be required to give the "suggested offering".... just drop us a line.

ALL offerings will go towards meeting the costs of the programme. Any excess funds will 100% be offered to Khen Rinpoche. CAS of T_A Chenrezig will not be "profiting" financially from the offerings.
